RESEARCH PROJECTS
Role of Prostaglandin D2 on the control of bone metabolism: we have demonstrated important direct effects of PGD2 on both osteoblasts and osteoclasts, which could be used to develop new pharmacologic approaches targeting an increase in bone metabolism.
Osteoclastogenesis in the pathophysiology of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis: this projet explores the hypothesis that the generation of osteoclasts from the peripheral blood could be a marker of disease severity, and thus be used as a prognostic tool in these diseases.
